Hi guys,
I’m back from my trip to Atlanta for the Advanta WTT Smash Hits event. It was so great to see Billie Jean King and Elton John again and to participate in the event for the 6th year in a row. We raised an amazing $400,000 for two great charities, the Elton John AIDS Foundation and the Atlanta AIDS Partnership Fund. Turnout at the event was fantastic and I was really excited that my team won this year. Andy Roddick put in a great effort, coming out to play before catching a 6pm flight that day to Madrid for the Masters. It was also a really fun trip for me personally, because I was able to bring my grandmother with me so that she could see me play tennis live for the first time, instead of just on TV! As always, here are some pictures from my personal camera, hope you enjoy.
As you know, my next trip will be to Dallas, TX; I’m playing in the Outback Champions Series at SMU on the 25th of October. If you’re in the Dallas area, come on out and watch. I’m also excited about my upcoming trip to Guam for the USO; I’ll be there from the 27th of October – 3rd of November and can’t wait to go! Of course I’ll keep you updated and will share all of my experiences from Dallas and Guam after I return in November.
See you soon!
Anna
